You lay there, deep in the darkest of places,
A wave of sorrow now torments your mind,
You hit your head absent-minded on the stone floor,
Imagining a death warrant, brutally signed,
Smile coldly to yourself in the freezing black,
Picturing in front of you, see your sadness end,
The silence of death echoes thinly around you,
The emptiness in your thoughts nothing can mend.
You moan and roll over onto your stomach,
Pull your sleeve up; reveal a bloodied arm,
Each slit portraying a line of defeat,
Watch the blood leak out, content in self-harm.
Your head slumps forward into a pool of scarlet,
Just once, are you happy, knowing the ends close,
End of the punishing life that you lived,
Ending results in blood-loss- a healthy dose.
Groaning and rolling onto your back,
See your arms; blood is your only confession,
You lose your thoughts, let yourself slide into dark,
Suicide formed at the core of depression.
